Spooky Season plus chronic insomnia equals a rare #LetterboxdFriday where I've seen 9 horror flicks since Monday's fall equinox. My #LastFourWatched are a pair of supernatural martial arts comedies and a pair of movies about perfectly normal 12 year old girls.

Realizing/remembering from the pattern in my old emails that I became an active #Letterboxd user in 2013-2014 precisely because I was having trouble making it to screenings at the time.
My lupus was flaring and there are a ton of purchased tickets (first run, repertory, and film festival) that I was a no-show for.
The habit/dopamine loop of logging publicly helped! By 2018 I'd tripled my output, to 168 reviews.
The next year I had a heart attack, and I've trended down. In 2024 I managed 34.
