There is no clean cut dogmatic definition, but the #gospel is the saving story of Jesus Christ as the fulfillment and climax of the story of Israel.
I just finished reading N.T. Wright’s latest book. It was very good.

My workout today was comprised of the following exercises done with 20 kg bell(s):

Four Rounds with a 2 minute break in between:

-Deadlifts 4 reps with 2 bells
-Swings 4 reps per side
-pushups 4 reps
-rows 4 reps per side
-dead clean to thruster 4 per side

I just completed my first (light) proper kettlebell workout. It’s going to take a while to get all the strength and momentum I’ve lost due to the flu I caught some five weeks ago. I haven’t been this sick/weak in some twenty years 🫠😮‍💨😅
I’m going to miss the hour of sleep that has been taken from me 😮‍💨
The older I get, the more I understand just how jaded the author of Ecclesiastes was. "Vanity! All is vanity!"

My new podcast is publishing on multiple platforms. You might be encouraged by it. You might not be. Maybe give it a shot…

Starting a five week #BibleStudy of Malachi this coming Thursday. It’s one of my favorite books. Can’t wait!

As my priest preached today, Matthew’s gospel reading about the Last Judgment is the gospel of love. Those who show genuine and non-abstract love for their fellow human beings in need (those whom they have encountered in the course of the day) are those who are welcomed into the Kingdom. Note that Jesus asks no other question about one’s piety other than how one treated “the least of these.” Not even about abstract love for humanity as a whole, nor groups of people — only about individuals.

Go thou and do likewise.
