EUROPA LEAGUE FOOTBALL IS COMING TO SUNDERLAND!

I was going to look for some WW2 crash sites on The Cheviot, but I got as far as Mounthooly in the beautiful College Valley and realised I didn't have the required energy for a jaunt up the big man. I turned right instead, and went up The Schil, which I think is one of my fave hills, then north along the border to Black Hag and back. about 18km and very lovely!

In full on masochistic mode today. Southern Hampshire to Manchester Airport using Cross Country trains. Two hours in and 25 minutes late already. My back is starting to wonder what I did to the train seat designer in a prior life😱 Maybe next time I’ll just catch the plane instead 🙄

Pixel isn’t very keen on the idea of getting up this morning, despite the local Robin doing its best to get her attention through the window. #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon #cats

Somewhat ironic that the picture at the top of this BBC article is the local stretch of the path near me that has been closed to the public for months due to erosion.
If the camera panned slightly to the right you’d see the fence they’ve put up (and which everyone regularly moves).
