Hi everybody, here's my #introduction post!

I have been a software developer for many years now, focusing mostly on enterprise software in C# and occasionaly other languages. I've been wanting to do something different for some time now, and I've been teaching myself #GameDevelopment in #Unreal and #C++. I haven't touched C++ since my college years, so there's a lot to (re)learn there.

Recently, I've started a hobby project I'm calling Mayday. Using everything I've learned so far as a starting point, I'm hoping to someday have a complete story-driven game. Planning on building everything custom, just for the challenge, including character models and animation using #blender3d, and maybe even a soundtrack in #strudel.

I have been posting edited videos of my progress on Youtube. I consider this a soft launch as I figure out my style and learn how to edit videos efficiently, and I don't ever expect a huge following anyway, but it's here if you're curious: https://www.youtube.com/@brokenclockworkshop

I'll be posting stuff here as soon as I figure out what to post. In a way, this account is yet another part of the challenge. Wish me luck, I may have bitten off more than I can chew. 🤪

LIBERAL: Oh, so now you're telling me what I can and can't say? That's not very free speech of you.

MAGA: Look, whether I'm lying or not, it's protected speech.

LIBERAL: No it's not.

MAGA: First amendment, asshole. I have the freedom to say whatever I want!

LIBERAL: Fraud.

MAGA: What?

LIBERAL: Fraud is when you lie in business dealings. It's illegal.

MAGA: Yeah but—

LIBERAL: Slander. Lying about other people in a way that harms them. You can be sued for that. You want me to keep going?

MAGA: Wait just a min—

LIBERAL: Libel. Putting those lies in print. Also illegal. You can go to jail.

MAGA: But—

LIBERAL: Perjury. Saying lies in court. Literally a jailable offense.

MAGA: No no no stop, okay. God gave us the right to say whatever we want without punishment.

LIBERAL: What's the 9th commandment?

MAGA: Uhhh... The 9th?

LIBERAL: Commandment. In the Bible. You read the Bible don't you?

MAGA: Yeah? So?

LIBERAL: The 9th commandment. "Thou shall not bear false witness." Exodus 20:16.

MAGA: What's that mean??

LIBERAL: IT MEANS DON'T LIE ASSHOLE
