#LibreOffice kennt praktisch keine Begriffe aus dem Themenkomplex #Gendersprache. Was nicht überrascht, da die neuste Version des deutschen Spellcheckers (de-DE frami) von 2017 stammt. Wenn Aktualisierungen von Wörterbüchern deutlich langsamer vonstatten gehen als Sprachwandel, ist auch Software irgendwann nicht mehr diskriminierungsfrei.

Mein neues Werkzeug zur Schimmelbekämpfung in der Wohnung ist ein dummes Panel, das Sensorwerte per Funk entgegennimmt, und bis jetzt gefällt mir das ziemlich gut. Ohne Fensterantieb kann ich eh nur manuell lüften. Und dann brauche ich die Werte auch nicht unbedingt unterwegs.

#ardaudiothek Rant, die nächste: Wenn man ein Hörbuch hören möchte, fängt man ja in der Regel vorne an und hört hinten auf. Doch in der Audiothek sind sämtliche Kapitel immer zuerst in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge sortiert. Man kann das ändern – muss es dann aber jedes Mal (!) beim Aufruf des Hörbuchs von neuem tun. Alternativ packt man alle Kapitel in die Warteschlange oder in eine Playlist – natürlich für jedes der hier 34 Kapitel einzeln, denn who fucking needs Mehrfachauswahl? 🙄

It’s the end of an (albeit short) era. I feel regret for the #CWA to get discontinued. During very uncertain times, it provided a vague sense of security, at least on a small scale, and no matter the actual numbers, here’s hoping that it did save lives. Besides this, let’s not forget that the #CoronaWarn App is (and probably will remain) the only federal software project where the #CCC didn’t see any immediate cause for criticism.

@b3ll I‘d like to request a crop feature in Albums since some covers aren‘t exactly square-sized and leave us with an ugly border around them. In the example screenshot, it would help to zoom in the cover until the white bars disappear and then move the crop all the way to the left to avoid cutting away part of the band name. Do you think something like this is possible?

It was about time to turn #advanceddataprotection on, but the experience was rather clunky. Trying to activate this on #iOS just gave me a spinning wheel running forever. After the device went to sleep, the feature was off as if I had never touched it. I was only successful on #macOS, but even here, the process took veeery long without any visual feedback. That being said, it feels pretty good to have #e2ee for most #iCloud related stuff.
