@kyle @steipete @xjki @mergesort @dimillian @krzyzanowskim I am the happy retired continuous learner now. I still code because modern IDEs are way more fun than debugging machine code when I was a junior. I am inspired by all the recent posts/blog articles that reveal the LLM impact from many stages of people’s careers. This is more exciting than the web explosion, with different scary bits. I need to restart blogging to document this interesting time.

@steipete

Great article! I applaud it! Being 57 years old, I definitely belong to this target group. And for a year now, I've been desperately trying to find a permanent job in my “old stomping grounds.” But the signs of the times are different. I've been working with these tools for months. And despite realizing that they are probably one of the reasons why it's so difficult to find a job as a “senior iOS/macOS developer” at my age, I celebrate these tools! Every day, I sit in front of my Mac and marvel at HOW MUCH code they produce IN SUCH A SHORT TIME! And they don't just produce code, the code is, apart from a few slip-ups here and there, really good overall! I don't see them as a plague that we can't get rid of. For me, they have long since become highly efficient tools! And I'm excited to see where we'll be with them in six months.

Grossartiges Video! Und ich wusste gar nicht, dass #Clawdbot / #Moltbot von @steipete ist. Sehr geil! 😃

OpenClaw: Ja, der Hype ist gerechtfertigt

Just watched @steipete discussion with @gergelyorosz on agentic coding. The information is so dense, I had to really be paying attention to take everything in. There is a lot to unpack, including how businesses need to overhaul, what role universities should have and what it would take for graduates to build up the skills and experience required to do the job. Kudos to Gergely for asking the questions and for giving Peter time to respond. https://youtu.be/8lF7HmQ_RgY?si=-ab05rWPAESreSXv
The creator of Clawd: "I ship code I don't read"

I can’t recommend this interview with @steipete enough. As someone who has followed their work since basically the beginning, it was both a lovely walk down memory lane and a deeply insightful tour of where software development is heading. 👍

(And just a wild story of Clawdbot’s rise)

The creator of Clawd: "I ship code I don't read"

How Peter Steinberger, creator of Moltbot (formerly Clawdbot), builds and ships like a full team by centering his development workflow around AI agents.

The Pragmatic Engineer
@steipete hey Peter, just wanted to say how inspiring your recent work has been. Although I’ve been aware of the progress of AI and an avid user of it for programming, I wasn’t truly aware of just how much it can do on its own. Clawdbot is a masterpiece already and I know you’re just getting started! The future is so exciting for all of us.
@steipete You are an inspirational lead user of this new development paradigm. I also agree with your current statement on productivity improvement, over 2 days I accomplished at least a month of feature work. Another few sessions I (guiding Claude Code) went from 1% test coverage to 63% test coverage and I have still never written 1 line of swift testing code myself. AI is actually a senior dev that only needs guidance to get to goals you desire.
Or maybe go do some therapy and ayahuascua to love yourself again…

“my brain is so rotten”

At least he deleted the message now so I can’t link to it. What is going on here?

This is the absolute best time to build, AI is insanely empowering, you can run whole companies as single person now.

Where is all that hate coming from?

Why not instead embrace it?
I never had more fun!
