Thanks, aholes. Well, makes jumping off easier.
Pi and the Seductions of Infinity https://www.themarginalian.org/2026/03/14/universe-in-verse-pi/
"π unmoors our basic intuitions about reality with its disquieting whisper of an infinity beyond the grasp of reason. There are no known infinities in nature...
And yet the decimal point of π taunts us like the gun barrel of the unimaginable. If we ever reach the last digit of π, we will have known the universe."
#currentlyreading On the Calculation of Volume Book 1 (https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/527858bf-900d-45f4-b3eb-c158b7602411) - Another Groundhog Day clone. November 18 has happened 122 times and our protag is gonna journal all about it. Apparently I dig this mode of storytelling more than I'd like to admit. I'm still early in the book, but I enjoy the more literary style. It is slow. It is pondering. We'll see.
It's also 7 books long, so that's kind of a lot based on what I've read so far.
Antimatter Trucker is finally a job title! But don’t worry, this isn’t going to be “The Wages of Fear, 2026”:
“The device on Cern’s truck will carry about 1,000 antimatter particles, weighing about a billionth of a trillionth of a gram. Should the containment fail, and the antimatter make contact with normal matter, the resulting pulse of energy would be so feeble, the load doesn’t even warrant a radioactive label.”
