Joanna HolmanIn Bronze Age Britain, artists made a 100 metre long picture of a horse using trenches filled with chalk. For 3000 years people have regularly repaired the artwork, removing stray plants and topping up chalk. There’s something very beautiful about a chain of people with such wildly different experiences of the world preserving beauty and creativity across millenniums
