The Ministry of Steampunk announced the evening events for Weekend at the Asylum 16, the huge steampunk festival set to take place Aug. 28-31 in Lincoln, U.K. Many of these events will feature performances by music acts well known to steampunk fans, including Alice Strange, Madam Misfit, Thomas Benjamin Wild Esq., and Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer. In addition, Victor and the Bully will headline a Sunday night concert with an expanded six-piece lineup.

The Clockwork Alchemy steampunk convention is now officially open for business, as the organizers are accepting pre-registrations along with applications for the Artists’ Bazaar, the event’s vendor area. The convention is scheduled for Oct. 16-18 at the Grand Bay Hotel SF in Redwood City, California, near San Francisco. That’s the same venue that hosted the event last year.
