Maker of electronics and software... a little dabbling in printing/lasercutting/building. I've been doing some synthesizer related designs in my spare time after getting back into electronic music. Been nice to get back into electronics in general, and music too!

Look! I made a thing. Maybe it'll help you make something too!

I got tired of wiring up input pre-amps on every new project, so I made a breadboard compatible module with a nice quality audio OpAmp. So if you do #synthdiy or other DIY electronics, maybe this can save you time too!

Oof.

Those "AI Browsers" are a real privacy hell

Personally, I strongly recommend NOT to use these

"Why do [creative task] when you can get AI to do it for you?"

Why have sex when you can program your smart fridge to make a squeeze bottle of mayonnaise squirt every day at 12:34?

Every time I go back to trying to use the STM32 micro for a new project, I need to re-learn how to use the thing. I guess I should be doing more projects with it to keep the know how in my brain.
Really scared. 😳
I'm faced with a decision... My Dad was an EE and the reason I went into ECE was largely him, and the projects we used to do together when I was growing up. I've had on a shelf for about 10 years, his old Philips PM3262 analog oscilloscope that is almost as old as I am, and that we used on most of those projects. He said it needed to be re-capped (I have his nice new scope too). Question is do I pay to get it refurbished? (I'm going to get his HP function generator fixed up, as I can use that.)

Has anyone else noticed that when time travelers grab you by your shoulders and ask what year it is, and you tell them, they don't reply, "Then I'm not too late," anymore?

That's rather concerning.

Gee, what could be done about this, anti-vaxxers? Think. Think real hard.

Health officials say a measles outbreak in West Texas is growing because of low vaccine rates and undetected infections.
