Basic Bitch? No, you misunderstand, I'm a BASIC Bitch

10 PRINT "AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT"
20 GOTO 10

I know the standard form is, you look at old code and wince, and say "what was I thinking..." but I've been looking at some Okta Workflows (a low code framework) I wrote/built/assembled a while ago... and all I'm thinking is... "this is really smart, did I _actually_ make this?"

I'm not angry, just disappointed that #amazon are making my trusty #kindle paperwhite (1st Gen) obsolete. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c98k91yy4z4o

I still think of it as a "modern" device - especially compared to my kindle keyboard... and don't feel a desperate need to upgrade. I mean, perhaps that's the point...

Finally got part one (and actually part two) of my #MunkiLab series of blog posts published... https://blog.quirke.org/munki/macos/2026/03/06/post.html

I've been dragging my heels, as I don't trust me to actually get the other parts finished and published in any sensible timeframe.

Go on future me, prove me wrong!

Steve Q - MunkiLab Part One

You're doubting my humanity, but you're missing some key points. Here are some of the things I've seen:

  • Attack ships firing off the shoulder of Orion. These aren't just battleships — they're spacecraft designed for warfare.
  • C-beams glittering in the dark. Their location? Near the Tannhäuser Gate.
  • Things you wouldn't believe. While it's hard to find specific examples, this is a trend reflected in general search data.

The bottom line: All those moments will be lost — like tears in rain.
