@pixelfed One year later, I'm still hoping for a response to my question.

Tired of Google results buried under SEO spam? I recently discovered @feedle a search engine specifically built for blogs and podcasts. It's exactly what the internet needs right now.

@joel I feel the same way. Instead of consuming so much, I should be creating.

With your blog post, you did end up creating something. You didn't just post a link. You wrote something. You expressed your ideas. Why do we produce? Why do we reflect? It’s to share it with other people.

@pixelfed

How do I view the posts of people I'm following on other instances?

Here's what I'm doing:
1. I just joined pixelfed.social. ([email protected]).
2. I followed an account that is on another instance ([email protected])
3. When I visit https://pxlmo.com/ernie I can see he has four posts.
4. I go to my profile https://pixelfed.social/i/web/profile/784563701662081402
5. I click on following.
6. I click on on Ernie's account in my following list.
7. I arrive at https://pixelfed.social/i/web/profile/784602230224259545

There are no posts.

Moving forward, I won't be posting to Mastodon or Threads.

• Sorry Mastodon. Just doesn't feel right to me.
• Sorry Threads. I'm already posting on Facebook.
• Not sorry, Twitter. Your owner.
• Not sorry, Instagram. Awful algorithm, scrolling-scrolling timeline, and incredibly awful search functionality.

I will be posting to:
1. My blog is the main hub: https://www.spudart.org
2. Bluesky for frequent posts: https://bsky.app/profile/spudart.bsky.social
3. Facebook for occasional posts: https://www.facebook.com/maldre

@dtgeek If I had a pull list, it would be anything with snow on the cover. Whenever I visit a comic book shop, I often look for snow-themed comics.
This coming Monday is National Potato Day. I feel like I should be doing something for it.

I'm getting close to 4,000 blog posts on spudart.org.

Since 2001, I've published 3,839 posts. At my current pace, I'll reach 4,000 on May 15, 2025.

In the four days since I was blocked on Facebook for "going too fast", I haven't used the service at all.

Today I return to Facebook, I scroll through one post. Literally one post. And Facebook blocked me AGAIN.
