Finally got my shit together enough to feel confident attending a school reunion.
My aim was to #crochet a demented conical gnome hat, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out.

My third beanie using #crocheted slip-stitch ribbing. I feel like I got the hang of the tension and row counts with this one, and I knocked it out pretty quickly, so I'm making progress.

For my next project I'm planning to extrapolate the decrementing row-count technique to create a demented conical gnome hat.

Following on from the runaway success of my first beanie toot (presumably due to the followers of #crochet ), this is my second finished hat. A lighter and visually less forgiving yarn, my focus was on pattern accuracy and tension. I probably worked enough to make 4 hats, the number of times I had to unravel it because I'd made a mistake 3 rows back but just kept hoping my count was off 😔.

I honestly started to feel like reality was trolling me. How can stitches just disappear like this?!

BE NOT AFRAID
Next stage of #crochet evolution achieved: an wearable hat. The yarn was too chunky in retrospect; combined with the slip stitch ribbing the fabric ended up super thick and spoiled the hipster skullcap effect I was going for, but all in all I'm pleased with the result.
If my first attempt at making something functional with #crochet was a spike, this is my MVP. It's not quite finished, but coming together nicely.
#crochet effort No.1
Wildly off-spec in many regards, but a structure nonetheless.

My daughter just independently reinvented guitar tab on her own initiative. Couldn't be more proud.
