One thing that has annoyed me about my #Beyerdynamic headphones is the plastic sliders that break once every year or two rendering them unusable until I shell out 20+ CAD for a few small pieces of plastic. The replacement part was discontinued but a new one was introduced which is compatible. Hopefully they would be more durable.

Nope, only lasted a few months. Admittedly this is only a single data point and MAYBE I just got unlucky but given current trends it's probably #enshitification

Imagine having a car that the manufacturer one day just declares that you can’t put gas in anymore.

To get gas you’d have to cut a hole into your car so you can sneak some in bypassing the inlet. But you can’t go to real gas stations anymore so you have to get gas in a back alley from some random guy.

So Anthropic employees are using Claude Code to contribute AI-generated code to open source repositories and hiding the fact using their own internal “undercover mode”.

Totally trustworthy people.

(Any open source project that at the very least requires disclosure of AI-authored contributions should immediately ban Anthropic employees on principle.)
