@lowqualityfacts I went to a museum in Uruguay the other day and they straight up said all these Roman sculptures and Egyptian statues are casts taken from the originals, with some verbiage about how after being on the receiving end of colonial oppression for 500 years they felt like they shouldn't be taking other people's stuff for their museum. I found that a really interesting mindset.
