my two years old pepper has 9 fruits growing now. I counted about 30 flowers on it, so it likes the spot in the window. Can't wait to taste them, once they're ripe.

I keep the plant in the house year round and pollinate the flowers by hand

I am also practising from Uganda,leading a group of young people which is committed at fighting hunger that has prevailed over communities in Central western parts of Uganda.

Now and then I search the internet for hemp, nettle or other plant-based, eco-textiles and I always encounter the same challenges. I cannot find 100% European products. There is nettle textile. You’d think, here’ s a ubiquitous “weed” that's fast growing, requires no care, and an excellent rawmaterial for durable textile.
Then almost all I can find, talks about Himalayan nettle. No thanks. Why is it so hard to produce anything entirely in Europe? And don’t say labor costs.
