Historical mystery romance, trans m/cis f.

The plan is for this to be the first in a series of Regency romances focused on this cheesemaking family. Hurrah!

"When a decapitated body is found near the farm, Kate and Thomas find themselves at odds. Investigating the murder might bring dangerous attention to Thomas and Kate's family, but letting a murderer roam free may have even more dire consequences. To make things more complicated, a spark of mutual respect and desire kindles between lonely doctor and cheesemaker. But what future can they possibly build together, when old secrets threaten to destroy them both?"
"Newly widowed Kate Easting is determined to save her family's failing farm with her cheesemaking skills. However, she must also contend with an unnerving number of chaotic siblings and the handsome, difficult doctor her twin brought home for her to nurse back to health.
"Army surgeon Thomas Holyoke never planned to return to Shropshire, to a life and a gender forced upon him. But after a terrible accident leaves him injured and feverish, he has no choice but to return to England with his faithful surgical assistant.

NOT DEAD.

I did finally finish my first historical romance, A BLOOMY HEAD, which is about a trans doctor and a widowed cheesemaker in Shropshire, and it is now available for preorder on several platforms.

I’m not exactly taking a break from Mastodon as much as I am taking a break from all but 1 social media platform, sigh.
OOF GUYS.

I think I’ve missed a couple days! Must circle back. Today’s instagram transfer is one of my favorite illustrations I’ve ever done, from part 5 of Monsters.

I’ve been more or less too tired to go onto Instagram at all, which I guess is . . . good? but now I’m sitting in the dentist chair waiting to hear how mediocre my x-rays look, so I might as well post these process photos from an illustration from 2018.

so far in June I have read six romance novels and a book about mustard, so that feels like success somehow.
