Soft Riot hledá těžiště mezi minimalismem a temným syntetickým neklidem

Britsko-kanadský synth autor Jack Duckworth vydává nové album, na kterém dál rozvíjí vlastní napětí mezi post-punkem, darkwave, minimal wave, italem a EBM. Glasgowský projekt Soft Riot, za kterým stojí britsko-kanadský hudebník Jack Duckworth, se po sérii singlů a minulých nahrávek vrací s novým dlouhohrajícím albem "Crux". Projekt na nové kolekci navazuje na cestu, kterou si JJD brousí už více než patnáct let. Ve zvuku se dál potkává synthesizer post-punk, darkwave, minimal wave, new wave, italo i EBM, ale tentokrát prý dostaly skladby více prostoru k dýchání. Promo materiály k desce mluví o strategickém balancu mezi rytmem, zvukovým designem, lehce psychedelickým odstínem, subtilním humorem i osobitou prací s texty. Mix alba měl na starosti Owen Pratt, jehož jméno je spojené například s Lebanon Hanover, Qual nebo PC World. Soft Riot - Moving Out Of The Bleak Deska "Crux" vyšla 15. května u Possession Records digitálně, na CD a ve standardní vinylové edici.
