Seven years today since Brexit. I hope that everyone is enjoying the boom from all the economic benefits; how good it feels to have taken back control; the never-ending joy of living in these sunlit uplands; and of course not forgetting to feel grateful for our well-funded NHS with decently paid staff due to the extra £350m it's been getting every week.

You don't need to use link shorteners on Mastodon!

All links on Mastodon count as 23 characters towards your post limit, no matter how long the links actually are.

Link shortener services like bit.ly, t.co etc track users who click on their links. This is really bad for privacy. If you use link shorteners on Mastodon, people may assume you are just doing it for tracking purposes.

My phone reminds me that one of the best experiences of my entire life was four years ago today: an epic 33-mile solo #walk across #Dartmoor. It was a moment at which I really needed space and solitude, and you better believe I got them. I’d be passionate about maintaining our access to the land anyway, but this walk really brought it home to me how ridiculous and offensive it is that our right to camp here is under attack.
