To clarify: fk Amazon. The only reason I got an orange banner is because this book became a USA Today bestseller, and that happened 100% because of INDIE BOOKSELLERS who have been championing this for months. So if you're picking up a copy, plz get it indie if you AT ALL can! ❤️❤️❤️

#AwardsEligibility post! My first short story collection REAL SUGAR IS HARD TO FIND came out this year. It was highly reviewed, got a ⭐️from PW, but was out with an indie press, so you may have missed it! These stories are extremely #queer and #trans, exploring intersections of #ReproRights, #abortion, #ClimateChange, and #community. And PW says they have “wry humor,” so I guess that means I’m officially funny!

Makes a great Hanukkah (or other winter holiday) gift for queer #leftists!
