I also made a "quiz". It's also very, very subjective!! The "right" answers are just my opinions. But it could be useful to get people thinking about what their answers are & why. Feel free to take it if you want to see the "answers"/feedback!

Collabra Editing Training

This questionnaire was created by me, Simine Vazire, Editor in Chief of Collabra: Psychology, to encourage Collabra editors to read and think through the "Guide to Editing at Colalbra" that I wrote (available here). My aim is to try to get as much consensus and standardization as possible in the values and principles that shape Collabra peer review decisions. The questionnaire is also publicly available for anyone else who wants to take it! Many of the questions on this form do not have an objective right or wrong answer, but the answer key is based on the Collabra editing guide. For each question, choose the best answer (more than one may be right, but some are righter than others). Collabra Editors: To test your familiarity with this guide, and with the principles and values at Collabra, please read the guide first, and then answer the questions without looking at the guide. After answering the questions, please click on "View score" to read through the feedback. If you disagree with something, that's a great opportunity to start a conversation (on the Collabra Editors Slack, or via email with Simine, or on social media, or the DP-JEDI discussion interface, or wherever you feel comfortable!). The opinions in the Guide and in the answer key are just my opinions, and I would love to hear other views and arguments!

Journal editing is a lot more than implementing policies. To help get us on the same page, I created this guide for Collabra: Psychology editors. I thought others might be interested, too. It's full of (possibly wrong) opinions. I hope it stimulates discussion!
