On this day in 2008, we released Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust.
An album shaped by the perfect imperfection of live takes. It was also the first Sigur Rós album made outside of Iceland.
17 years on, thank you for listening. What song stayed with you?
Celebrating Summer Solstice ☀️
On the longest day of 2016, Sigur Rós drove Iceland’s Ring Road, streaming the 1332km journey live 🇮🇸
The soundtrack to this “slow TV” adventure was created using generative music software, taking multi-track stems of ‘Óveður’ and endlessly reinventing them in real time.
The best moments from the 24-hour journey have been pared down to a quiet and reflective album of eight tracks.
On this day 12 years ago, we released our seventh studio album, Kveikur.
Thank you for listening 🤍
On this day in 2023 we released ÁTTA, our first new studio album in a decade. Thank you for listening 💙
What was your favourite song on the record?

Over time, the songs shifted and grew — live versions slowly taking shape, becoming the versions many now know best.
On this day in 1999, we released Ágætis byrjun.
An album of sleepwalkers, submarines, and slow beginnings. 26 years on, thank you for listening.
