Just found out that #copilot automatically decided to “refactor” a markdown file and push a commit to one of my #GitHub repos because a student had enabled that functionality on their vscode instance!

I found out when I get this automated email. WTF??!!

All #fuzzing papers: we improved coverage by 0.1025% but discovered 100 new previously unknown vulnerabilities! 😂

Congratulation, Basket of #Deplorables. You did this.

You killed the thing that gave you and your children American Experience, Mister Rogers, Sesame Street, Nova (fucking NOVA!), Frontline, Reading Rainbow, This Old House, Nature, Masterpiece Theater, Zoom, and so much more. Because you didn't like that it wouldn't promote batshit right-wing ideology.

So congrats, you fascism-supporting basket of deplorables. And fuck you. Every last one of you MAGA fucks.

A Raspberry Pi was used to connect to the network for an ATM in a bank and bypass perimeter firewalls and traditional network defenses.

This setup enabled continuous *external* access to the ATM network! Luckily they detected and disarmed it before any damage.

#usenixATC will end after this year — in its 50th year. 😕

Such a shame as it is one of the premiere systems conferences. Landmark work has come out of it over the decades.

#lazyweb anyone know if #vscode can be installed on an iPad (in order to connect to a remote server)?

"American ingenuity" spent most of the past 10 years investing in monkey jpegs (NFTs) and giant EVs that no one can afford. China invested in, solar cells, battery tech, trains and buses, and affordable EV cars.

I don't know how to tell you this, but our US national capital allocation strategy of "Give most of our innovation budget to anti-democratic, racist, sexist, alt-right guys" doesn't seem to be working out for us. 🤷🏿‍♂️

We pair that with our "throw cans of soup" activism. Silly.

#lazyweb is there a way to sync Mac machines? Say, if I want to mirror my MacBook Pro onto a desktop Mac Studio, can it be done?

The idea: no matter which machine I open up, it should have the exact same state (apps/data/etc.).

Ideally without any external software.

Thanks!
