This whole 'living in fear' narrative needs to stop.

Living in fear is about rejecting the current state of a changing situation. Symptoms include refusing to be cautious, harming others, or shutting down completely.

Living informed, is taking into consideration what is actually happening and adjusting your behaviour.
Symptoms include better health, happiness, compassion.

Do not underestimate the time, care, and expertise it takes to prepare a student to learn.

Body, mind, emotional focus is required and the lesson can't begin until it is achieved.

This is not 'wasted' time on silly things. Students and observers may report that it is. But keep doing it. It matters.
