Was there no one on Spotify's data team that pointed out the fatal, circular flaw in this logic?
"Next, we identify the five-year span of music that you engaged with more than other listeners your age. We’re hypothesizing that this five-year span matches your “reminiscence bump,” assuming you were between 16 and 21 years old when those tracks were released."
I’m happy they’re backtracking as fast as they are, but the fact that this happened in the first place should be extremely concerning to Apple.
We learned with iOS 7 that you can’t make UI transparent. It does not scale. Is there not a single person still left at Apple that remembers that?
The Windows Vista jokes are funny and all, but Apple should already have this institutional knowledge, where did it all go?
Why does it look like the middle column and sidebar are a completely separate app from the map? If I didn't know better, I'd think there were two apps on screen in multitasking mode.
What is the context for the search icon? The whole app? The middle column? Presumably the former, but the UI separation looks more like just the middle column.
Are they just trolling us with the red checkmark on the top right corner? Did you even notice it before I said something?

“Just an engineer" and all, but this is a usability/UX disaster.
tl;dr: what in the world is going on here?
It's reasonable to assume the map is probably somewhat important to this app, why is it a quarter of the screen?
Why is the sidebar visually floating above all of the other content, with a thick shadow that implies focus and grabs your attention?
What is the relation of the middle column to the rest of the app?
