Using AI has the added side effect of helping document the troubleshooting process as I go. Not always something I prioritized.
Claude is 2-for-2 helping me solve thorny Mac troubleshooting issues.
Just a point on Apple celebration of 50 years. They were not always inclusive, screen reader access cdid not come to the Mac platform until 2005 from Apple itself.
Thank you all for the Apple TV show recommendations. I'll check some of these out, but probably not all. 😊 I'll prioritize shows that aren't mostly about dudes, and see how far I get. https://zeppelin.flights/@Shelly/116291838050514632

Subscribed to Apple TV again, just long enough to watch For All Mankind. So what else should I watch that is not sci-fi?

Watching Palm Royale to discover why no one recommends it.

It’s another busy and varied week here, but I did want to pop in to say how much I enjoyed representing the National Federation of the Blind, along with my colleague Jesse Shirek, at an Apple-organized event focusing on #accessibility celebrating Apple’s 50th birthday.
The original wave of Apple accessibility, in the late 1970s and early to mid-80s, was very much grass roots driven, and in the April 1 episode of Access On, the National Federation of the Blind’s podcast, we’re going to be celebrating that period of technology history by speaking with some people who lived it, and even doing a few demos.

Call It A Noirlodrama (Lions, Towers & Shields 135)

The son of a man convicted of murder faces bullying, then suspicion when he is accused of a crime, too. Directed by Frank Borzage, the film is moody, dark and a bit gothic. Dane Clark and Gail Russell are your leads, with a late-film appearance by Ethel Barrymore. And you’ll hate young Lloyd Bridges. Noir czar Eddie Muller calls Borzage ‘relentlessly romantic,” which is a huge contrast to this film, which Muller ranks it among his top 25 noir films.

A bit too much almond extract and a gas stove has given me singed eyebrows for the first time since I was a kid. My mom’s advice in these situations was always “don’t do that!” So helpful.
Stop placing text over images and pretending it’s a usable design, you bastards.
