A new side quest - I am learning Typeface Design!

Also, I hate prompting endlessly. Vibe coding sounds like a boon but it gets annoying fast. #tech #design

Hot take: this is a great time to learn to code for a UI designer like me. I know css and html but I want to double down and get better in front end coding.

Here’s why - with AI making coding incredibly accessible, knowing the material (code) well helps in controlling the output better. Not just that, knowing the code well makes iteration easier.

Lastly, this has been a great way to shut out all the AI noise. Typeface design is intricate and fun. I wouldn’t be opposed to using AI tools to help with my workflow but it is refreshing to see that this part of digital design is not tainted by AI (yet). #design
This has given me a new level of appreciation for type designers. It is a craft that requires a lot of patience but can also be deeply soothing once you get in the zone. Looking forward to my journey in this space. #design

I believe that self-driving cars are a net-positive if we execute right. Humans are just not reliable drivers. The sad thing is that this will take away a lot of jobs for human drivers but this also means fewer accidents and other incidents that are caused by people driving.
