Spent last night watching cheesy films while sipping margaritas and eating chips&salsa at a friend's house.
I highly recommend having face time with friends right now. Connect in person, talk, eat, have fun. Don't constantly check your phone while doing so.

Jesse Jackson won't lie in honor at US Capitol Rotunda
House Speaker Mike Johnson’s office has denied a request to have the late Rev. Jesse Jackson lie in honor in the United States Capitol Rotunda due to precedents that such honors are usually only designated for presidents. Johnson's office said it received a request from the family to have Jackson’s remains lie in honor at the Capitol. The Jackson family has announced scheduled dates for memorial services to honor the civil rights icon in Chicago, South Carolina and Washington, DC. No locations or times have yet been outlined for the events in South Carolina and Washington.

It started great and then a huge time gap happened near the end....but finished rather solidly. I enjoyed this memoir.
I may not post here much. I have cut back on my social media usage in last 6 months. I am trying to keep it geared away from politics here since other socials have that topic on blast.
So, I post books I am reading, occasional blog-like posts I make in links, some music stuff, and what I am selling at sites (used books and vintage jewelry).
It makes this a more relaxed place for me at a slower pace.
