Rust is a decent language, i guess, but anytime I interact with rust advocates I get a creepy cult vibe. I’ve worked with those people before and it was unpleasant.

So when I see something like this, it’s a huge red flag. Reading the description was even more so. The Rust job has the same creepy vibe but also includes a lot of architecture responsibilities that are not in the other one. Clearly a management preference for this language has created a culture where other language roles are inferior.
