At the LaPorte County fair. This is a 1960 John Deere 8020. It was one of the first large wheel 4 wheel drive tractors. My dad saw one of these at the Wilmington OH Farmarama in the late 50s and thought there’s no way there’d ever be a bigger tractor.

I see where I get my tech prediction skills from.

I went to a car cruise in with my dad after work. There was a Cadillac like one his grandpa drove. Apparently my great-grandpa’s had a compartment that you loaded up with cigarettes and when you pushed a button, a cigarette would pop out and it would light it for you.

Beside the cancer and open flame in your automobile, that’s a pretty cool feature.

So who’s going to be the first person to attempt the Flyana Boss “You Wish” challenge through the AALL exhibit hall?
I’m really pleased with how my perennial/pollinator garden is going this year. Not sure how I ended up with an LSU color scheme but it sort of works.
I think the headache I've had all day finally went away....
I think since live tweeting from AALL is not going to be possible from 27 SMS sites, I may do the old school method of taking notes for each session and then publishing them as a blog post. Live blogging, we used to call it. And we wore onions on our belts.

I just realized I forgot MySpace.

Sorry, Tom.

Blog Rolls, Fametracker, Television Without Pity, LifeJournal, Google Reader, Two message boards the names I don't remember for Fametracker users, FriendFeed, Mokum, a few subreddits.....

All online sites where I spent HOURS and a significant part of my day and emotional bandwidth until they collapsed or I left (willingly or unwillingly).

There are online spaces that can't be replicated but no site is irreplaceable. People move on, shockingly fast.

Trying to prepare my dad for (a) how people in Boston drive and (b) how I drive in Boston.

I’m gonna need to dig out some Xanax. For everyone.

@Colarusso Is there a national law student association for those interested in legal tech with a national umbrella and local chapters? e.g. BLSA or Federalist Society
