These frickin' low poly Slither Wings I found on printables and printed out for my kid (who adores this damn Pokemon)were a real pain in the ass to glue. The sharp points all over the body cut my gloves, glue got on the tweezers, so parts stuck to it instead, and basically there's a reason I seldom do detail work on small things. But hey, it'll do, I guess.
I picked up a prism-patterned PEI bed sheet the other day, because I've wanted to try one for a while. I don't really have any practical purpose for it, but it's definitely really cool. (The test filament I used is really old and past its prime and I didn't tweak my first layer to accommodate it, so it's not perfect, but the effect is still impressive.) #3dprinting
In the next installment of strange and probably dull things that make me at least mildly excited, I tweaked my TPU settings before printing the second half of my E1 printer bed jig and the results were greatly improved. Slight stringing on the bottom and some tiny blobbing on the top, but largely about as perfect as I figure it's going to get. #3dprinting
Sometimes when I get bored at work I pop over to TinkerCAD to design things that might be of use to me to print out. Since I can't install anything on the work machine and also I can't really use Blender anyway, it works out. I'm only at the level of basic shapes user though, so it's just stuff like this (a stand for my kid's wobble board). #3dprinting
I miss this guy. Panda was, by far, the best dog I have ever had. I got him when he was pretty old already and he was so eager to leave the shelter with me. He was quiet and chill, and just a sweetheart. I didn't have that long with him, unfortunately. Only a few years, but I'm glad we got to spend the time together. #dogsofmastodon
