Ah, that brings back memories. Looked at some posts by Erik Naggum and they certainly didn't disappoint. What I miss about Usenet is that there was no limitation to the length of posts and you could choose whatever client you wanted (of course being open to ridicule and hostility if you chose wrongly).

I've been thinking. What does constitute a #lisp? What are the affordances that make a Lisp a Lisp? Is it even the syntax (or lack thereof depending on the viewpoint or level of abstraction)? Is is the dynamic nature? The extensible reader? The tools for debugging and introspection?
What are your favourite #piano warm-up and/or technical exercises that you incorporate in your daily exercise routine?
What would you do with a HP LaserJet 4050N with a broken duplexer? I seriously have no idea besides junking it which seems kind of cruel given that it still has a nearly full toner cartridge and is generally still a great b/w printer.

Been playing with Plogue Chipspeech and decided to create a choral version of the well-known "Abendlied" by Matthias Claudius in the arrangment by Christine Höpfner. It's rough around the edges to say the least because my focus was on getting a speech #synth that was built for English and Japanese to speak German by manually transcribing the lyrics of the first and last verse into phonemes.
I may offload a significant part of my #retrocomputing collection comprising mostly workstations (HP 9000 among others) and corresponding CRT monitors but also books and magazines. Thing is, I have no idea how to do it. The local museum in #Oldenburg didn't reply to my offer which I guess means "No interest." If someone in the area feels like saving computer history from the landfill, get in touch.
