I took possession of my new home in Port Bruce today. It's at the end of a long private laneway with only a dozen neighbours and a terrific view of Lake Erie.
I have some painting and cleaning to do before moving in but so looking forward to doing great creative work in such an inspirational and peaceful setting.
P.s. Anybody want to buy a cottage in Port Stanley? Mine is still for sale.
I'm so angry at Toronto Ambulance. They delayed picking up a First Nations friend of mine who had collapsed during a bout of pneumonia. They thought she was drunk. This is very racist.
The one time I've collapsed - I did have a glass in my hand, it was in a pub* - the ambulance crew came running to help this white guy. I wish my friend could have been treated as well as I was.

Toronto's curbside patios made 49 times more money than the parking they replaced.
“This is an example of how productive a place can be when we don’t fixate on parking"
“The key is to think of the street not as inherently being a space to park or drive cars, but as public space that can be purposed for any sort of public activity"

A year ago, my dad was running my parents' household bills and banking, all online.
Now he sits all day in a care home, immobile, incontinent, barely awake/aware, barking swearwords at anyone who disturbs him.
He was an IT professional. A knowledge worker. He had all his will and stuff sorted out. His digital assets? No plan. We can barely get access to the bank accounts for my mum

My current embroidery project is a series about The Sentinel video game (created by Geoff Crammond) in its #ZXSPectrum version.
I selected an area in particular among the many levels of the game and tried to reproduce every pixel of it in a 55x46 cm canevas. The series will eventually consist in 13 needlepoint.
Hope you’ll enjoy.
