I just checked the boat house camera: for once it didn’t record any fishermen. It triggered on three white pelicans flying past.

Listening to my music collection this afternoon a track from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Closing_of_Winterland came up. I remember watching this concert live on Bay Area TV. Definitely a New Year’s memory!
The DC-6B came back and flew nearly overhead. A quick photo shoot with the iPhone.
I turned around after hearing the sound of four radial engines: Red Bulls’ DC-6B doing an evening turn over the Salzkammergut.

The telltale sign the rain gauge has some debris in it! I.e. it has a tail long after the rain has stopped, and all the water going through the tipping bucket after the obstruction has been removed.
A little birding at the lake on Wednesday: American White Pelicans chasing after the fish on Lake Guntersville.
Well, neither of the pilgrim’s ships, but a replica of Columbus’ ship, the Pinta, motors by the house (on Lake Guntersville) on thanksgiving day.
