i haven't really traveled any distance, to speak of, only for a concert, but i once arranged to stay over a few days in Toronto (traveling from Northern California) on a work trip so I could see The Hidden Cameras at (edit) The Opera House, playing with Gentleman Reg, December 2009. To the extent that counts, it was 4,295 km

long wondered about the common factors across domains that motivates me to label things as good v bad

Just realized one:

Boring -> Bad

Pertains for example to otherwise good songs with boring lyrics, and to politicians/analysts/pundits whose words evince boring thinking

So boring is my new favorite lens
