He was always so generous with his time and feedback
So increasing your bus factor still means improving communication with this perspective and I like that.

A team member suggested that we need less violent metaphors when the "bus factor" term came up.

Another person thought that it meant something about a bus in electronics which is actually a way better metaphor

"A bus is a pathway in electronics that allows data to be transferred between components of a computer or network. Buses are made up of multiple lines that carry different types of information, and the number of lines in a bus determines its bandwidth and speed."

I really want to remove some old validation code my team found in a #rails Active Record model...but my teammate brought up Chesterton's Fence. Chesterton’s Fence tl;dr “Do not remove a fence until you know why it was put up in the first place.” i.e I don't know WHY the code was added, so I probably shouldn't remove it until I do so another #til https://fs.blog/chestertons-fence/
