Privacy is my religion; Big Tech and the state are just hungry vultures. I’m a crusty noise black metal machine with zero tolerance for far-left/right drivel or Japan’s “democracy” cosplay. I back FLOSS because freedom doesn’t come in a corporate bow. I’m sarcastic as hell - if you need an ego massage, go kick rocks.

For the second time in seven months, Sapporo has approved an underground exhibit claiming the Ainu aren't indigenous - despite a 12K-signature petition against it and Japan's 2019 law explicitly recognizing the Ainu's status.

Ex-idol Wada Ayaka ("Ayacho") of the group Angerme reported on Instagram that she went to Taiwan to marry her Taiwanese partner. W/o revealing her partner's gender, she said they married there b/c Taiwan supports marriage equality & separate spousal surnames.

Requiring N2 won’t fix exploitation-it just adds red tape while companies keep abusing visas. Instead of punishing employers, they make foreigners jump through hoops. Classic bureaucratic BS: complicate the process, pretend it’s a solution. It’s a Potemkin village built on whitewashing systemic failure. Blame the gaijin, ignore the rot. They’d rather complicate survival than fix the system. Typical j-government farce.

Breaking news: me, noted old & weary curmudgeon, is sitting here absolutely giddy over the #Artemis launch.

I’m as shocked as you are 🚀

I took a little #astronomy in college so I have a v*e*r*y basic understanding of the physics involved, but I'm still just blown away that, despite distances, the earth keeps the moon in orbit, the sun keeps the earth in orbit, yet a rocket can beat the pull of gravity, etc.

Shoot, even when I'm on a plane, I'm amazed that big hunk of metal can lift into the air!
