I took this second photo just outside of Pokhara, Nepal, in 1983. A child, carrying a small lamb, some 40 years after my father's shot.
Observational snapshooting, using photography to observe and record. You see what I saw.
I never met the guy. I got to know just a little of who he was through his file packets of negatives, though only when I was able to scan them in 2004.
We did perhaps share something in perspective. This first shot was taken by my father in Sudan around 1940 - a small child holding a kid goat.
Observational snapshooting, so I got to see what he saw.
234. A self-portrait of me studying an open camera shutter with a loup, in the studio in Wales, 2010.
#Photography
Rolleiflex 2.8F, with close-up lenses.
This is also Day 600 of the daily shots on Bluesky, and for the moment this is the last of them.
There are more in the archive, but I'm cutting the pace and future photo posts will be occasional, not daily.
