Liberation Laser Meetup - June 2025

Welcome to Liberation Laser Meetup! An informal gathering for the next generation of laserists. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’re invited to learn, share, and play with lasers in good company. Diversity and Inclusion We actively welcome women, non-binary, trans, queer, BIPOC, and other underrepresented groups in the events industry. Allies are warmly invited too. We're committed to creating a supportive, inclusive space for all. Event Program Meet new people, learn together, and design and operate lasers in a relaxed, collaborative environment. We'll be working with Liberation laser software, with a full laser setup for everyone to control. Getting Started (or Re-Started) with Liberation A welcoming session to get you up and running — perfect if you're brand new or just need a quick refresher. We’ll cover the basics and get everyone ready to jam. Liberation Laser Jam A freestyle session where anyone can jump in, create their own laser shows, and see their ideas come alive with real lasers. 💻 Bring Your Laptop To get the most out of the event, bringing your laptop is highly recommended — so you can follow along and start creating your own laser shows. Mac and PC both welcome. 🛠️ Optional: Volunteer Setup (Afternoon) The team will be on site from 2:00pm setting up lasers. If you're curious about rigging, cabling, and zoning, feel free to come early and lend a hand while learning in a hands-on way. 🎉 Bonus Event: Fundraiser Party – 14 June Come back the next night for a fundraiser party at the same venue! We’ll be running lasers all night — and you're welcome to help operate them. Let us know if you’d like to join the crew. For Experienced Laserists If you'd like to bring your own lasers or gear for the meetup, please get in touch and let us know what you're bringing.
