🇨🇦 looked at 🇺🇸's surveillance problems and said: hold our beer.
#BillC22 is proposing far greater surveillance, and a permanent treasure of private Canadian data no other democracy demands.
It's wildly dangerous, and we need to shut it down, NOW!

Prompt 3.5 is out! A hhuge update to our terminal emulator / SSH client. We fixed some bugs. We deeply lowered the price (everything is too expensive right now). And we added…

Did you ask for this? No. Was it fun? Yes. Enjoy: https://prompt.app/
Yes it’s true, hell is a little colder today as I have finally started backing up any of my self-hosted stuff

Well I had a fun day today!
These are unaltered direct photos (other than mirroring) of a CED and a Laserdisc where using diffraction grating I was able to VISIBLY SEE video physically encoded on the disc!
I will be editing a video about this process but also did a quick write up about it on my wiki here with the direct sample images:
Even when Canadian governments do the right thing, they do it as badly as possible. It is infuriating.
Today, BC announced that we’re going to stop doing time changes (good) but stay on DST (bad).
You don’t have to take my word for it that DST is the wrong choice. Here’s basically every organization that thinks about sleep or circadian rhythms on the topic:
