Also this whole time I was shooting *without* distortion compensation! No wonder my wide angle photos were always so… bent. For most people the mobile phone cameras are still best, there are so many footguns in big cameras.
Got exposure bracketing to work, now I'm struggling finding a free functioning workflow for merging into HDR images. hdrmerge is too old (last release 2015) to support the latest Sony RAW image format. Darktable generates some very dark DNG that I cannot open with anything else… Le Sigh.

And now for something different: I sold a lens!

At a loss of 180CHF for 1y of use. But at least it's making someone happy now.

Am Freizeit- und Erholungszentrum (FEZ) fährt wowohl die Bahn also auch die Straßenbahn vorbei. Und dann gibt es die 600mm Berliner Parkeisenbahn UND noch das 500mm Feldbahnprojekt. Strong yo dawg I heard you like trains vibes… Ich sollte da mal mit meinen 1:32 Signalen hingehen.

One last radio tower and we arrive at the Felsenegg station with a last view over the lake. The cable car ride gives us a glorious look back at Uetliberg and then it's all over. Now is a good time to do the hike since the S10 isn't going to Uetliberg due to construction, so all the tourists would have to climb up ~400m and few actually do. So even on very beautiful days you're basically alone up there.

The hike to Felsenegg is simple but lovely in the evening sun.

Onwards to Felsenegg! The direct route down from Uetliberg is closed off. Fortunately only to gentlemen in suits and hats so I took it anyways and survived. Past a mountainbike trail to another view point of the lake and mountains. Here the Planetweg opens up a bit more and we walk past some lovely fields…

You also have some great views onto Zurich from there:
1. Bürkliplatz with the Reformierte Kirche Enge in the foreground and the Quaibrücke in the background.
2. Zürichhorn with the Fischerstube restaurant. Here's a dusk/night video of that area: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-MIlrw5pkc
3. Zürich HB with the Sihl and Landesmuseum.
4. Triemlispital, where I spent some time last year: https://chaos.social/@salkinium/112506289165471566

On top of Uetliberg, you're greeted by a viewing tower and a giant radio tower (with upside down railway tracks?). Very nerd friendly. At dusk this place turns quite cozy, I made a simple video about it last summer.

They had another exhibit where they showed the development stages of the Swiss crocodile. From egg (Z gauge), to larva (N-H0 gauge), to pupa (0-1 gauge), to butterfly (baby croc), to… a big ass croc. They are really very dedicated to their train exhibit…
