📬 The 3rd issue of the WST Chronicle is out!

🔭 The Wide-Field Spectroscopic Telescope (WST) will be a 12m telescope dedicated to multi-object spectroscopy

📝 This issue includes a contribution co-authored by the #sagateamcamk on exoplanet, stellar and Galactic science

📡 Among other articles, there is also a discussion about synergies of WST with other future facilities, such as the ELT, the Einstein Telescope, and SKA

📄 The WST Chronicle is an electronic magazine designed to keep the WST science teams and the broader scientific community updated on the latest developments of the project

🔭 WST is a project to build a 12m telescope fully dedicated to multi-object spectroscopy. It will have a large FoV (>3 deg^2) and combine high‐multiplex spectrographs of both low‐ and high‐resolution and a giant IFU

🔭🧪 Curious if anyone would like to share thoughts/experience with Qeios and their public peer review approach?

Is this a legitimate initiative? Or something to be wary of?

We thank the organizers (LOC and SOC) and all the participants for the fantastic conference!

At #IAUS395, the SAGA Team presented the project "Playing CHESS with stars", where we are developing a new pipeline that aims to obtain accurate and precise stellar parameters and abundances for large sets of spectra.

The Ph.D. student Sergen Özdemir presented preliminary results of an investigation of stars in globular clusters, using Gaia and UVES spectra. The general principles of the CHESS pipeline were presented by the P.I. of the team.
