been hunting for two weeks now for the root cause of why Facebook analytics fetching wouldn't work in FeedMansion despite apparently having the right scopes

turns out that `pages_read_engagement` is NOT sufficient, you also need `pages_read_user_content` 🤦‍♀️

I think I'll finally have the analytics page working for Meta AppReview now 🥹

today: fixing the bugs and problems with the Facebook / Instagram / Threads analytics import, so that we can get AppReview approval from Meta to get the analytics scopes for these platforms for FeedMansion

(also using the Mention feature for the first time to cross post and mention FeedMansion - it only works for some platforms so far, LinkedIn not among them)

POV: adding a feature to @-mention my other social presences in a multi-platform post, so that I can write one post that cross-posts to multiple platforms and correctly mentions the respective account on that platform (they don't all have the same name!)

but it's still deploying and I kinda have to go sleep 😭

working on karaoke evidence / verification UI for KaraokeCrowd 🥹

the point is to make it clear when the last report about karaoke at a given venue was (e.g. event series update, addition of a social media post that announces karaoke at the venue)

Just shipped a stats page for KaraokeCrowd 🎤

2,190 venues, 9,231 events across 77 countries. ~2 signups/day with zero promotion feels magical for such a niche thing

If you're into karaoke: what (besides from fixing the bugs) would make this actually useful for you? 🤔

AI content automation is great to get some baseline visibility when you're a business or creator, but it doesn't replace the "stream of consciousness" type posting that helps people connect with you at a deeper level. Real friendships form from something weird and genuine - that inner coherence and evolution of thought in interaction with your mutuals that AI automations can't fake.

Tomorrow evening, the Saarbrücken AI community is getting together again! 🎉 Our bi-monthly AI Meetup is Tuesday, April 28 at 6:00 PM.

one of the most interesting questions when using social media these days is... how do we distinguish between bots, people that just aren't interested in us, people who could become allies or friends, and non-bot followers?

like... when you're using social media you don't want to waste so much of your time trying to make contact with who's not even interested in the first place

idk, someone building this? I want to try it.

while the rest of the world is busy getting started with AI, you should be asking yourself the question of where to stop with AI
