An awkward potterhead and trekkie. I write as a hobby but mostly fanfics. I have a few original stories being worked on too.
I also heavily support #OpenSource software and #Privacy efforts. I use #Kubuntu as my main driver.

Currently posting on AO3:
Star Trek: Orion
Book1: Ghosts of Vega

@arstechnica It's rich that Swastilink is whining that the Chinese didn't coordinate their launch in December when Swastilink themselves ignored ESA repeatedly back in 2019 when they almost hit Aeolus. ESA gave them a week lead time and Musk's slaves were like, "Meh."
@georgetakei that is one of the best comebacks I've ever seen!
@rbreich I will write Epstein under Trump's signature on every US dollar I come across.

I know its been a while but rest assured I am still working on #StrandedInSpace. I'm about halfway through the rewrite right now but have a little more free time to work on it lately.

I will admit I had hoped to post the first chapter before the end of this month but that's definitely not happening. My schedule in April is hectic but I will try to have chapter 1 out during the month.

@nixCraft I don't even trust them when I make a pseudo account.

Remember in Democratic countries, the people have a say. There is more than one way to make your voice heard. The catch is the politicians know this as well. They just hope you didn't notice long enough for them to take that voice away. Look what's happening in the UK and Former US.

Resist.

The FCC’s WiFi router ban is “an extremely blunt instrument, and it’s going to impact many harmless products in order to stem a real problem,” EFF’s @legind told CNET. https://www.cnet.com/home/internet/fcc-bans-foreign-made-routers-as-national-security-risk/
Is Your Wi-Fi Router Safe From the FCC Ban? Nearly Every Major Brand Is Impacted

The crackdown on foreign-made routers labeled a "national security risk" affects most major router brands.

@eff @legind Nearly all routers except Starlink (or as I like to call them, Swastilink) routers are made outside the US you say. How unbelievably convenient for one company that just so happens to have links to the American regime.

They say the best way to learn is by doing. I've always agreed! For example, I've spent the day attempting to set up a self-hosted instance of NetBird. In the process, I've learned the limits of my patience and that I'm a stubborn, cheap SOB.

The resistance against age verification is growing.

There's now a dedicated Linux distro that stands against it. 😼🗿

Ageless Linux Emerges to Protest OS-Level Age Verification Laws

And thankfully, it's more than just a Linux distro without age verification.

It's FOSS
