On Friday, January 16th, at 6 pm, the Manitoba Library Association (with support from the Goethe Institute and the Université de Saint-Boniface) will screen a free showing of "The Librarians," with a panel discussion following, in the Martial-Caron Auditorium.

This award-winning documentary considers America's "war on books" and how extremism fuels censorship efforts. This promises to be an interesting viewing and discussion for everyone interested in the free exchange of ideas.

Please note that I am very rarely on Mastodon these days. I just find that my overall mental health is better when I am NOT doomscrolling on social media like Bluesky or Mastodon (and I am *NOT* on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter/X; I gave those up years ago).
