one friend, last month, uninstalled signal, even after i told her all the privacy stuff. she only installed it just for the sake of contacting me, not because she understood or cared about her right to privacy. long story short, she said she didn’t really need signal anymore and told me we could still talk through instagram DMs (which is even worse than whatsapp). but then i’ve got another friend who installed signal and even spread it to his girlfriend
