So I went there, and saw the devastation he had wrought unto himself. I stayed almost 3 weeks. Got him into a plan, and a health clinicn. All he had to do was wait 10 days for a psych bed to open up.
The day I left, hid did it again, but properly.
And it has been a long road since then. Finally, he was cremated last week. And that sent the whole family off. Me included.
My wife's baby brother has always been "our boy". We never had kids, at least partially because Erin was 14 years older than her siblings and did a lot of child raising by the time we met..
In September, he made a very serious attempt to on his own life. He lived in Berlin, so I(as the only family member who speaks German) went to try and help him.
@slevelt If you have a connection to Defence Health (a grandparent who served will do, and they're very soft with that requirement), that's the good stuff. Inexpensive (at relative terms) and they'll throw a stent into you at the drop of a hat.
