Oh wait I guess I'm not done yet. There's a book, Contagious, by Noah Berger, which is a great primer on the black art of how and why things go viral. When I draw something that I'd like to see get passed around, I try to make sure it checks off a few of the boxes of his STEPPS criteria.
(It's also a useful thing to understand if you want to identify which viral marketing techniques are being leveraged at you. Once you know them, you see them everywhere. Some are in this thread, even!)
I made this when I knew where I was going with this thread but the server was too busted to let me continue, and now I've mostly completely forgotten how I intended to get to the point I was driving toward, so, here, have this
Eggnog and pumpkin pie! Eggnog is very easy to because it is basically melted ice cream anyway. Pumpkin pie turned out very good but the moisture content in the pumpkin puree caused it to freeze solid, whoops.

I think the thing that kills me most about the latest Horizon visual revamp is that I'm like 98% certain that the artists working on this are more than capable of producing stellar work, but they aren't being allowed to. How miserable must the art director be, having to constantly go back to their team and have to tell them to sand all the interesting edges off and paint over any colors that might be too vibrant
