6/ Coinbase is trying to make “onchain” becoming as ubiquitous as “online”. Thats why it had no choice but to build #Base
5/ We saw it with Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. Platform cant just be platform. The regulators expect accountability on whats being put on them.
4/ But, if Coinbase love #Base, it will have to let it go 🕊️. A publicly traded company is probably not the most conducive structure to support a decentralized permissionless network.
3/ With Base, Coinbase wants to be “the Dubai” of crypto! 🏝️ You don’t think twice to transit over Dubai. It’s an exotic place, but with safety guaranteed. Think App Store or Disney Epcot. CB has the opportunity to make crypto a positive productive and scam-freeplace #1000x
2/ Teams at Coinbase are mostly building in golang/ruby instead of Solidity. To retain those talents, Coinbase must give them the opportunity to build things onchain 💎 #CryptoInnovation
