@dantz @freshmango @bastianallgeier @marcthiele aber der betrieb einer eigenen instance käme für mich auch irgendwie nur dann in frage, wenn es zu https://mastodon.social/@thomasfuchs/100565509145298900 eine brauchbare lösung gibt. Ich würde technisch keinen Zugriff auf irgendwelche nicht-öffentlichen inhalte haben wollen. Been there, done that, don't need that again…
@dantz @freshmango hab mal socializi.ng (weil verhältnismäßig neutral) registriert und überlege DigitalOcean's Kubernetes mit einer Mastodon instance (invite only) auszuprobieren… Aber irgendwie auch erst wenn ich weiß wie multi-identity / identity-migration funktionieren könnte (bzgl. was @bastianallgeier und @marcthiele kürzlich diskutierten)

I think the nicest thing about your new social network is that I can subscribe to each and everyone of you via an Atom feed. Honestly, I don’t need live streaming inside a browser of all the stuff that goes on out there. If it needs my direct attention, you most likely know how to reach me for that. Good luck for your transition! Seriously. I’ll try to make my site compatible in the next month, then we can all publish our content where we think it belongs. My secret plan is also to share some details inside my howto section, but I’m not yet sure if that’s practical. We’ll see. Nevertheless, something seems to change. I like that.

@dantz @freshmango ich glaub ich hab das prinzip von diesen instanzen noch nicht verstanden. warum ist das bei einer federation relevant auf welcher ich rumhäng?
hm… this web UI has some room for improvement. e.g. adjust scroll-position of a column if new content is added, so that I don't click buttons on the wrong toot…
next questions would be where the code is, if I can change it, where I find the time to actually follow through on this…
@bastianallgeier installed amaroq, looks neat! Also I didn't realize Firefox had a "pin tab" feature. Mastodon is the first! (work-Jira second, don't judge ;)
